Welcome

Welcome to my new blog!  I hope it will be a source of encouragement, inspiration, and equipping for pastors and on-mission Christians.

I have been a Christian, husband, and father for over 30 years.  I have served as a pastor or associate pastor of several churches of various sizes from 180 – 5000+ in attendance.  I have also had the privilege of serving dozens of churches as an Associational Missionary of four associations for over seven years.  I have served as Director of Ministries of Georgia Baptist’s newest Association, the Southside Baptist Network in McDonough, GA, since March 1, 2013.

I want to bring glory to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in all I do…including this blog.  I anticipate blogging once a week, but that is subject to change.

I envision each blog featuring several of the best articles/blogs I have read either recently or on the topic of the week.  The topics will rotate, but will include leadership development, missions, evangelism, stewardship, church planting, church revitalization, discipleship, preaching, pastoring, associations/SBC, counseling, etc.

I hope to bring to my SBC world of ministers, members, and ministry something similar to what one of my favorite bloggers, Michael Hyatt, does for his readers.  Michael says he desires to be a “curator of content…like a DJ introducing and commenting on what I share.”  That is what I hope to be to my readers.

So here goes.  I welcome your feedback.
