I appreciate the opportunity the Southside Baptist Network gave me to attend the 2014 Annual Meeting of the SBC in Baltimore, MD last week.  It was a very good convention by all accounts.  I was personally inspired and equipped to do my responsibilities better, and I left encouraged about the future of the SBC.

I am featuring articles about the annual meeting this week, as well as one article on younger Southern Baptists that I think is pertinent to the future of the SBC.

Your brother in Christ,
Ray
Pr. 3:5-6

Quotable Quote about SBC President Fred Luter
“He was certainly a historic president, because he was the SBC’s first African-American president. But he was an incredible president because of his leadership and love of people. Thank you Fred. You served us well.” Thom Rainer

Ray’s Top Five this week:

1.     SBC Wrap Up: SBC Elects Floyd, Prays for Revival, Baptist Press

2.     5 Observations About Younger Southern Baptists, Trevin Wax

3.     9 Resolutions Garner SBC Adoption, Baptist Press

4.     Ten Observations on Day One of the SBC Annual Meeting, Thom Rainer

5.     Ten Observations on Day Two of the SBC Annual Meeting, Thom Rainer
